Hi! I’m Nathan Farrar, currently working as an Senior Cloud Platform Architect and Consultant at World Wide Technology. I’ve got a deep background in traditional datacenter network architecture . I’m always looking for the next most interesting thing which is how I ended up in cloud and automation in general.
I work closely with enterprises to develop plans, teams, and processes to adopt, consume, and, develop in the cloud effectively and efficiently.
The goal of this blog is to capture my experiences in hopes that it might help someone. There is a lot of information out there, I plan to try to give a different angle when ever I can.
I started my career down the Cisco path and received my CCNA, CCNA-Security, CCNA-DC, then moved up to CCNP, CCDP and now the CCNP Enterprise. I have my VCIX6 in network virtualization spending some time deploying NSX (T and V), and my Azure Solutions Architect Expert certifications. Recently added the Terraform Associate and looking forward to more options from HashiCorp.
When I’m not doing cloudy things, I’m building other things. I’m big into DIY and woodworking, I like to try to do things that are difficult in hopes that I learn something useful or at least interesting.
